Literally the worst place that i have ever been to. Walked in and no one even bothered to acknowledge the fact that I was waiting for a nail tech. Then when I finally got assisted by Joel, he was on the phone the entire time and did such a poor job. I got acrylic gel nails and after just a few hours of leaving the salon my nail polish had bubbles on it and ended up peeling off. The clear coat doesn't even cover the whole nail. The lady that did my feet cut me like three times and basically butchered by big toe. To top it all off they are expensive, $57.00 for a half ass refill and pedicure. DO NOT GO HERE PLEASE!!!!!! I’m new in the area and decided to give this place a shot. They have no private waxing area meaning they sit you in a chair in front of everyone and people are passing back and forth which is scary considering the lady is putting wax around your eyebrows and you can definitely lose one if some one bumps into her , besides that they did come out nice . My nails and feet however were another story .. the girl that did my feet really just cut my nails and painted .. no massage no cutting of the cutical correctly, and she kept stopping to talk to another client, I was really disappointed about that because that was actually the reason I went there in the first place . I got lost on the way to another nail salon and out of desperation, I went to JC Spa Nails after passing by and seeing it. Even though it was dirty and dingy on the outside, I decided to give it a chance. Wrong decision. The building was covered in dirt and grime, the technicians did not sanitize their tools, and the woman who did my nails talked on her cell phone the entire time. She said all of one word to me. To top it all off, she kept overpainting my nails and rubbed off all the extra polish with a crusty paintbrush dipped in acetone, and there was dead skin still surrounding my nail beds. I left as fast as I could, unfortunately skipping out on my original plan to get a pedicure, and on the way home my skin started to burn. Today was my first time at JC nails. I have to say I am the most satisfied customer. I came in with limited time and fearing that I wouldn't be able to get them done without being late to work. But Cindy made it happen! She did my nails fast yet still maintaining the quality of a good full set. She is wonderful and skilled. I would definitely recommend this to someone else. Employees walking around with sandwiches and ice cream cones in hand. Texting and face timing on the phone while doing pedicures and manicures. Yelling across the shop to talk to each other during each rush job. I had a 20 minute (if that) "Spa Pedicure." Where I am from, I am used to receiving a thorough scrub and scape to the feet, a lengthy message and a quality pedicure as far as nails are concerned. This was everything but. Not to mention the little bit of ambiance in the small, cramped shop is ruined by employees eating, speaking loudly to one another and on the phone, as well as random interruptions whenever they decide to get up and leave you at the table or in the chair for an unexplained reason. I used to come often to this place before today. The lady that attended couldn't have been more rude. She was too aggressive when she was cutting my cuticles , at one point I had to tell her to stop because she had literally cut me . She didn't respond , say anything in response . She just kept at it. After she was done she left the little fan on and didn't even say anything , for example , like lead me to a place where I can get my nails dried faster in the machine they have .My finger ended up stinging the entire time I was there. One of the worst experiences I've had at a nail salon. Made an appointment for a powder gel refill with Cindy, got there 10 min early while she was free...told me to wait then she ends up attending a walk in client. I waited 40 minutes to then be attended by John, who did a terrible refill...they made me feel soo uncomfortable conversing with another client saying how they prefer not to do powder gel etc. while he was doing my nails! It takes 1 bad experience to ruin a place for me, sometimes I give it a chance. But if you ruin it for me TWICE. Then it's over, I haven't gone back since. I use to BRAG about this place. I use to give reviews to my customers about the place even as far as going to telling them how to get there.The first time, with APPOINTMENT, it took them 1 and a half hours to attend me. The nails were beautiful and the salon was packed so I understand the whole fame about the place. But the SECOND time I was having a really bad day, I called in a day before to set up my appointment. When I got there 30 minutes ahead of time, the lady attends a customer 10 minutes before my turn. I'm talking about a full gel set. I left faster than I could say no. I went to my car and cried of how bad my day was. As if that wasn't enough the workers were talking about a death, like I come here to relax not to be saddened further.It was a shame, because this is the only place that does NATURAL acrylic nails. No one can tell if they are real or not. But they seriously need to manage their salon better, and maybe hire more people for acrylics and not just two.Oh and let's not even get started on them NEVER ever ever having parking. They take out sufficient cuticle but don't cut. If I'm in a rush I will wait because I don't like anyone else to touch my nails... If you want it done right go to JC Nails! Read Less

Even though it has nothing to do with service, I had to write about my experience with this place. My mom she is a licensed manicurist with over 20 years of experience in a high end salon in Coral Gables. She moved on because she got very sick and she had to get some time off , but now after a year she is ready to get out there again. I called this J.C Nails the day before and asked if they were hiring and the guy said yes and he asked to please come by to see me and I said ok, so the next day being today I passed and noticed they had 2 signs that they were hiring and got even more excited, so I go inside with my mom and I ask the oriental guy If they were hiring nail technicians and his answer while mumbleling was no and then he turns around and ask this oriental lady in his language she ask for her, meaning my mom and then she glance at mom and me and says no no no like if we were inconveniencing her. I never felt so discriminated. Yes I know the discrimination is a harsh word , but that's the way we felt because I called the day before and yes they were hiring, the window has a sign on each side we are hiring and as soon they saw we weren't oriental, no they are not hiring. Remember that creepy kid in elementary school that would sit there and bite their nails all day? Yeah, that was me and it didn't stop there. I have relentlessly chewed my nails for years and years and had to pay the price for it... messed up nail beds and evergrowing cuticles. EW!.....But I was saved! About 5 months ago a friend recommended this place to me and I thank (BABY JESUS and) my friend so much! My first time at JC Nails was as a walk- in and I was seated with Lee who is basically the BEST thing since sliced bread... yeah, I went there. She whipped my nails into shape and I can't thank her enough. Lee is the one person I will let touch my nails but my friends use some of the other techs and love them as well. I've had the manicure for 7 days now and it is still immaculate. Not chipped at all. This is very impressive since I work with my hands. I am so delighted with this manicure so far! I have had gel done before and it would barely last a week before I'd get at least one chip. The product they use (Calgel) seems to be great! I tried to get Jacqueline, based on recommendations from other Yelpers, but she was unavailable. I ended up with a nice technician named Lee who was polite, speedy and did an awesome job on both my feet and nails.I've had the manicure for 10 days now and it is still IMMACULATE. I've been hearing a lot of rumors about JC Nails that they are a good Nail salon, so I tried searching them here on yelp and I saw that they had a couple of bad reviews. Before going to their salon, I consulted a lot of friends on what can they say about JC Nails. Majority of them said that it was not the best nail salon but they had a good service and they're good on what they're doing. So I went there the next morning for me to see if they're really good on nails. I want to mention the woman who approached me and asked me kindly of what I needed and gave the information what I wanted. Then she guided me to a room, the place was full of customer. It was a good place they had a lot of tools and colors for the customers to choose. She started cleaning my nails and it's good, she's an expert. Worst salon experience ever! I've been getting gelish nails for about three years, every two weeks. I've been to many nail salons in Miami. My regular nail spot is closed on Tuesdays, and I was very desperate so I went to JC nails. Jacqueline seats me for a pedicure and puts my hands in acetone to remove the gelish nail polish. After hacking at my feet for the most uncomfortable hour of my life, my fingers were on fire because she never stopped to take off the nail polish although I told her it was ready. So I had to remove it myself. She cut my toenails soo short that I cringed every time she would file. She was literally filing at my skin. Looked terrible! Then when she did my hands she was buffing my fingers more than my nails that she actually burned my fingers. She was cutting so much when she was removing cuticle that she left minor cuts on all my fingers. A ten year old could paint nails better. My nails look like globs at this point and she's stabbing me with the wooden stick constantly and calls me sensitive. I told her the color looks different than the one on my feet and she discredits me. After drying the second coat you can see that she painted my hands a different color. My feet were orange and mg hands were pink. I was so mad I told the owner, Cindy, and she said to just put the orange natural color over my hands.. By now I had been here for three hours and they had made me late to an appointment so I asked her to skip the massage. The end result was so frustrating. After such an unpleasant experience and such an ugly result, I was charges full price. My fingers are bleeding and burning. My nails look globby and are missing paint around the edges and my hands and feet are mismatched. Please avoid yourself the heartache.. And don't waste your money here. Read Less

Will not be visiting this salon again. It was a complete waste of my time, and most importantly, my money. I went in for a full set of acrylics and a pedicure. The pedicure was nothing more than a foot wash. The water was cold as ice, and there were no oils, salts, or anything in the water. The "massage" that I received on my feet was laughable. The tech merely lotioned them up. She then proceeded to cut all the skin off of my cuticles. I ended up with several cuts on my cuticles, and when I pointed out that I was bleeding she simply shrugged it off. She then used acetone on my toes, even around the cuts. OUCH! I should've left right then, but because someone else was going to do my nails, I thought that it would get better. Boy was I wrong. So as I'm trying to recover from my burning cuticles, I sit in the chair waiting on y manicure to start. It looks horrible btw. It looks like I have plastic boulders on my fingers. The acrylic is so thick, it's ridiculous. She did not file the nails well at all, and I ended up with glue and unfiled debris under them. I have posted pics, so you can see for yourself. Please, save yourself the horror. Manis/Pedis are supposed to be relaxing experiences. This was not even close. There is no reason why I should have left there all cut up and bloodied. NEVER going back!Oh and P.S. Don't even let me begin with parking. It is a shared parking lot with about 5 different businesses, and there are only like 10 parking spots. SMH. Upon leaving I was blocked in, so I had to hunt down the owners of the cars parked behind me in order to leave. I'm so disgusted. Worst use of $42 ever. Read Less

Wow. Might be the worst mani/pedi I've ever gotten. I am in Miami on business and every time I come here I have trouble finding a good place to get my nails done. After reading at least 10 reviews I drove about 20 minutes to go to JC Nails. I'm so angry I took the advice of these women who clearly don't know a good mani/pedi. I now realize New York City has the best nail salons at least on the east coast.Don't know where to start... As a few other reviewers wrote, the women talk to each or on the phone pretty much all the time. I was desperate for a mani/pedi so I didn't let that bother me. However, when it was time to 'pick a color' I was greeted by OPI, Essie (both really good) then about 5 other labels as well. A mess of nail polish brands is usually an indication of what's to come and my theory held true....My nail technician took out her tools that weren't in any solution and she didn't spray them with alcohol so I asked her if her tools were sanatized and she seemed offended. Then she proceeded to hack at my cuticles with reckless abandon. I was so nervous she would cut me that I sat there wincing almost the entire time. After she finished chopping off half of the skin on my fingers she lotioned my hands with the emotion of a dead fish... then instead of taking out a nice warm towel like I"m used to in ALL NYC salons she told me to go wash my hands! Now why the heck would she lotion my hands then tell me to take it off?? Did I mention she started with my mani and not my pedi??? that made absolutely no sense! I've never gotten my hands done first so I would have to struggle to take off my shoes... lift my dress... grab my cell phones... not one iota of sense! Then... the best part - my 'pedicure'. Once again she HACKED away and this time she cut me TWICE. I yelped with pain and she had the audacity to say in Spanish 'oh its fine... its just two little cuts'. I should've been beyond shocked but given the way she hacked at my nails and the overall feel of this place instead of being shocked I was angry at myself for having stayed after seeing what the place looked like. I tried to be positive and hope for the best and as a reward I was cut 'only twice' and charged for a manicure and 'spa pedicure' that was hands down the worst ever.You get the picture but forgot to add on my hands EVERY single nail she painted the skin (not cuticles as I had none left) around my nails which resulted in her having to stab me with her wooden stick to remove the color. As for the 'spa pedicure' apparently at this place spa means putting your feet in blue water... there was no foot salts... no foot scrub... no leg massage... no warm towels. NADAI will never ever go back nor will ever doubt my theory about the polish brands... and never ever believe any woman in Miami when she says a place is worthy of my money and FIVE stars. Wow.Next time I want to throw money away I'm going to drive over to the highway exit and give it to the first zombie I see with a sign asking for money... for at least he'll at least get food or drugs and enjoy some euphoria that clearly I didn't get here.** Its been about 45 minutes since I left the place and my toes that 'just have two little cuts' STILL HURT. The most beautiful nails or mani/pedi you will get done at this place!!! They are real artists on nails, either mani/pedi, acrylic or gel! I came to this place after a co-worker came and I loved the mani she got, I needed acrylic, but since I have reeeally flat nails I need my acrylics to be very well sculptured so that they look a little curvy otherwise they will look horrible. I came doubtful that they could work the acrylic the way I need it (I have some trauma already from previous places) so I explained to them my concern. They said that was no problem and the owner called one of the girls. OMG! I can't help my excitment!! She did such a beautiful work on my nails! They look gorgeous! Like never before! And she let me know I could always come even though she wasn't working because any of them is the same,they all work nails the same! Beautiful! JC Nails will give you a good mani and pedi.. the service, however, kinda sucks. The couple that owns it (John and Cindy) are really nice.. everyone else that works there is pretty much Cuban and some, l hate to say, as I am Cuban myself, seem pretty fresh off the boat in their characters.They're loud, they curse in conversation talking to each other, and your nail experience isn't as relaxing as it should be. Do your nails look fantabulous when you're done-- YES. So, JC is a trade-off between a great mani/pedi and a relaxing day at the nail salon... if you don't mind the crazy women- try it out... and even though walkins are welcome, make an appointment- even if its for the same day. Personally, I like to go the to Vietnamese to get my nails done. I don't know, they just do it better.Since this originally listing for this nail salon was Vo Nails, I decided to give it a try b/c when I called to asked for the price, it seemed reasonable ($26 for mani/pedi).When I arrived, I thought I had wrote the address wrong b/c the sign clearly said JC Nails. I went to this salon because of the reviews from this site and I was extremely disappointed. I was attended by a very rude women who was non stop using her phone and barely paid any attention to what she was doing. When I went to go choose my nail polish she tried to get me to wear a color I knew I didnt want to wear. The other girl next to her was extremely rude also and was speaking bad about me in spanish not knowing i speak and understand the language perfectly. I will never go there again and will make sure to never recommend it. It is a shame because the owner is very nice, I suggest he get rid of those women ASAP if he wants to have a successful business.
